How to Swap USDT to BTC on Coinchain
Step-by-step guide for converting USDT (TRC20) to Bitcoin with a fixed quote and no account required.

Converting USDT to BTC is one of the most common routes on Coinchain. This guide walks through a non-custodial swap: you keep control of your wallets, and Coinchain matches you with liquidity at the rate shown before you send.
Before you start
A Tron wallet with USDT (TRC20) and enough TRX for network fees
A Bitcoin receiving address you control — double-check it on your device
Small test amount if this is your first swap on Coinchain
Step 1 — Select the pair
Open the exchange form on coinchain.exchange. Set "You send" to USDT TRC20 and "You receive" to BTC. The widget shows an estimated rate and minimum amount. Rates move with market conditions — the final quote locks when you create the order.
Step 2 — Enter your BTC address
Paste your Bitcoin address. Use native SegWit (bc1…) or legacy formats supported by your wallet. Coinchain does not hold your BTC — a wrong address means lost funds with no recovery path.
Step 3 — Confirm and send USDT
Review the locked quote, network tag (TRC20), and deposit address. Send exactly the requested USDT amount from your wallet. Partial sends or wrong networks delay crediting and may require support.
Step 4 — Wait for confirmations
TRC20 deposits typically confirm within minutes. BTC payout follows after your deposit is confirmed and the swap executes. Track status on the order page — do not send a second transaction unless support asks.
Common mistakes
Sending USDT on ERC20 instead of TRC20
Typo in BTC address — always verify on hardware wallet screen
Assuming the preview rate equals the locked order rate after long delays
FAQ
Do I need an account? No — Coinchain supports guest swaps. Is KYC required? Check current product policy on the site; many pairs work without registration. Need help? Contact support with your order ID.
